Aaron McKenzie is a San Diego native goalie where he played Midget AAA for the San Diego Gulls. He then moved to Vancouver Canada where he played 2 years Jr A hockey in the BCHL with the Surry Eagles. In those 2 years Aaron was able to make the All-Star Team and lead the Eagles to win a Fred Page Cup. His next step was playing in the minors, first signing in the UHL with the Roanoke Valley Vipers and then on to the Arizona Sun Dogs in the CHL. Aaron finished his career in the ECHL with the San Diego Gulls. Aaron now lives in Cedar City with his family and loves this new stage his hockey career as the Assistant Coach for the Iron County Yeti.
Zack Wiener is a Michigan native who grew up playing hockey in the highly competitive Michigan hockey community. He went on to play junior hockey for the Detroit Fighting Irish in the USPHL, where he served as a captain for two seasons. Zack then continued his playing career at Cleary University, competing at the ACHA Division I level and serving as a four-year captain.
Following his playing career, Zack transitioned into coaching and spent the last two seasons coaching at Cleary University at the ACHA Division I level. During his time at Cleary, he continued to develop his coaching philosophy with an emphasis on building a strong team culture, player development, detailed systems, accountability, and preparing players to succeed at the next level.
Zack now brings his junior and collegiate playing experience, leadership background, and college coaching experience to the Iron County Yeti as the organization’s Head Coach and General Manager. He is committed to building a competitive, professional culture in Cedar City while helping Yeti players develop both on and off the ice and creating opportunities for them to advance to the next level of their hockey careers.

Dr. Blair Ballard, D.C., M.S. Sports Medicine was born and raised in Fielding, UT. He was a varsity athlete at Bear River High School- playing several sports with baseball being his main sport. He moved to Cedar City in 2012 to attend Southern Utah University. While at SUU, Dr. Ballard was a rural health scholar and was very involved in service projects with the Community Engagement Center and outdoor recreation with SUU Outdoors. Dr. Ballard graduated from SUU with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. After a few years, Dr. Ballard began his doctoral studies at the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon. Through his master's program, Dr. Ballard worked as an athletic trainer for amateur and professional sports such as baseball, running, volleyball, and rodeo. After earning his Doctorate of Chiropractic, Master of Science in Sports Medicine, and B.S. of Human Biology from UWS in 2023, Dr. Ballard and his family returned to where they feel most at home- Cedar City. Dr. Ballard and his wife, Karina, met at SUU and have been married since 2015. Together, they have two children and two dogs. When not enjoying life as a husband and father, Dr. Ballard actively pursues outdoor sports such as mountain biking, skiing, canyonering, and trail running. Dr. Ballard knows the value of receiving and providing quality chiropractic and sports medicine care. His practice is focused on thorough training to prevent injury and increase the longevity of the athletes he treats.

Born and raised in Cedar City, Utah, Nick Jones has always been an entrepreneur. He previously owned Hermies Drive-In and now runs the Cedar Bowling Center. His love for hockey started in 2010 on a frozen pond with his friend Dallin Staheli. From building makeshift rinks out of hay bales to helping create “The Rink on the Hill” at the Cedar City Aquatic Center, Nick has been dedicated to growing the game locally. So when his longtime friend Chad Fain invited him to become co-owner of the Iron County Yeti, his response was immediate: “Where do I sign?” Today, Nick is proud to help build a strong hockey community in Southern Utah, from youth to juniors, and is excited about the future of the Yeti.

Born and raised in southern Nevada, Shania is an aspiring creative currently attending Southern Utah University, majoring in Sports Communications and minoring in Graphic Design. Shania is in her third year of her undergrad program, working on perfecting her craft and ability to create and produce sports/life content. When she is not working on school, she is a dog mom to Vader and an advocate for healthy habits. This is Shania’s second year of photography with the Iron County Yeti and SUU athletics.
Quinntin and Nycole Reynolds started their hockey journey with their oldest child 7 years ago on a small community outdoor rink. It has now expanded to 3 out of their 4 children playing for Southern Utah Independent High School Hockey and they have one lovely figure skater who is a supportive fan.
They are continuing their journey this year as Billet Coordinators hoping to help support the Iron County Yeti players and the families that have opened their homes to these aspiring athletes.
